Terms of Service
These terms apply to the use of this website and to inspection and testing services provided by Mold Inspection Manhattan Beach.
Scope of services
We provide mold inspection, mold testing, indoor air quality testing, moisture detection, air and surface sampling, thermal imaging and post remediation verification. We do not perform, subcontract or supervise mold remediation or removal, and nothing in our reports should be read as an offer to perform such work.
Nature of an inspection
An inspection is a non-destructive assessment of conditions observable on the date of service. Areas that are concealed, inaccessible or unsafe to access cannot be evaluated and are noted as such in the report. Conditions can change after the inspection date. No inspection or test can guarantee that a property is free of mold.
Laboratory results
Samples are analyzed by an independent accredited laboratory. Results describe the samples collected at the locations and times recorded. California has not established a numerical exposure limit for indoor mold, so results are interpreted by comparison to an outdoor control sample and to unaffected indoor areas.
No medical or legal advice
We are environmental inspectors, not physicians or attorneys. Our reports describe building conditions and measurements. Health questions should be directed to a qualified medical professional, and legal questions to an attorney.
Scheduling, access and payment
You are responsible for providing safe access to the property and for obtaining any permission required from an owner, manager or occupant. Fees are quoted before the appointment and are due on completion of service unless agreed otherwise. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a fee.
Report use
Reports are prepared for the client who commissioned them and may be shared by that client with contractors, agents, insurers or other parties. Reports may not be altered, and excerpts should not be presented in a way that changes their meaning.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, our liability arising from services provided is limited to the fee paid for those services. We are not responsible for remediation work, repairs or decisions made by third parties.
